Lauren Ash Morgan, born in 1981 and a member of SSC's Board of Directors since 2011 She was one of the co-artistic director of Speech of Fire. As the artistic director of SSC she served as SSC's composer, musician and text coach, as well as set/costume/music design. In her final year she served as director of lighting and design in SSC's production of King Lear. She had been the director of the ensemble but in this the year that she made her directorial debut.
